Quest Art Presents Environmental and High School Exhibitions

The Simcoe Watershed Art Project and Quest Art present Runoff on May 8 in the Atrium Gallery in the Midland Cultural Centre.

Runoff is a creative celebration of the water cycle as it relates to the intersection of art and science.

Simcoe Watershed Art Project/Artists Afloat included regional artists within the Lake Simcoe and Couchiching watershed in the expression and documentation of the unique aspects of this ecosystem.

Everyone is invited to the free opening reception, which will take place Friday, May 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Midland Cultural Centre (333 King Street.)

The Simcoe Watershed Art Project artists include Jennie Clark, Karen Wild, Peter Miehm, Margaret McClelland and Carol Deimling, among others.

Watch for the Simcoe Watershed Art Project bring art to life. The exhibition will conclude on June 8.

Also debuting is the High on Art: Art on High exhibition on May 10 in the Upper Gallery.

There will be more than 25 works on display from St. Theresa's Catholic High School Grade 12 students and Midland Secondary School grades nine to 12 students.

Meridian Credit Union and Dentures by Denturists are sponsoring this exhibition, which will conclude on June 8.

High on Art: Art on High's opening reception will take place on Thursday, May 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Midland Cultural Centre.
