YOUNG ARTISTS' PROGRAM INSTRUCTORS 

 

The Young Artists Program at Quest is looking to expand our workshop and classes to reach student ages 6-10 & 11-16.

Instructors are asked to deliver art-based experiences that are creative, accessible, educational and aline with Quest Art's Exhibitions.

 

We are looking for proposals from artists who are willing to teach young people the art forms of sculpture, printmaking, photography, video and cartooning in an engaging and relevant way.  Interested artists should contact Jill Price to inquire about scheduled exhibits prior to designing class outlines.

 

Proposals must include:

 

  • a brief outline of your program (which should address the basic elements of art, draw upon historical connections and that can be completed within the allocated timeframe) Your outline would also benefit from identifying curriculum connections for your targeted age group.

  • All applicants will need to acquire a current vulnerable sector screening / police check prior to hiring.

QUEST ART OUTREACH INSTRUCTORS 

 

The Young Artists Program at Quest is looking to expand our OUTREACH programming to students from grade 1-8.

Artist instructors will go into the classroom and deliver art-based experiences that are creative, accessible, and educational by meeting Ontario curriculum requirements.

 

We are looking for proposals from professional artists that we will be able to send out to teachers in August so that they can book with Quest and supplement their teaching within enriching art activities.  In school programs should not exceed 100 minutes and full day programs to be delivered at Quest allot for 4 hours of instruction / execution of projects.

 

Proposals must include:

 

  • a brief outline of your programme (which should address the basic elements of art, draw upon historical connections and that can be completed within the allocated timeframe) Your outline should also include what curriculum connections your program meets  http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/curriculum/elementary/subjects.html

ADULT INSTRUCTORS 

 

The Adult Education Program at Quest is always looking for professional artists to teach and mentor artists at different stages of their practice.

 

Artist instructors are asked to teach in the area of their expertise to increase student's knowledge of material handling, principles and elements of design, the business of art, and image or concept development.  

 

We are always looking for proposals from professional artists who work in a variety of mediums for daytime & evening classes, as well as 1 day or 2 day weekend workshops and 1 week intensives through the summer.

 

Proposals must include:

 

  • a class outline of your program

  • an artist curriculum vitae outlining relevant work and teaching experience

  • dates available for program delivery
