Draw From The Shoulder Using Charcoal With Ross Skoggard Make your charcoal mark with your body, not just your wrist, in 2 hours. You will work on a still life, standing at an easel, with a piece of vine charcoal in one hand and a kneaded eraser in the other. You will draw with your whole arm and unlock a new sense of scale in drawing by looking for masses and volumes to draw with the charcoal, defining highlights and negative space with your eraser. Finickiness will not only be discouraged, but impossible when you draw from the shoulder. All materials supplied. At the end of the workshop, there will be time for a social chat about your creative work, served with tea/coffee and snacks This workshop is supported by funding from the New Horizons for Seniors grant.
