Service Description

Join local artist Carolyn M. Boyd for a dynamic two-hour water-soluble oil painting workshop focused on expressive palette knife techniques. Participants will explore how this versatile medium can be used to build rich texture, bold colour, and striking movement while creating a landscape painting using palette knives. Through demonstrations and guided instruction, Carolyn will introduce the fundamentals of working with water-mixable oils and show how palette knives can be used to layer paint, create texture, and capture the energy of natural landscapes. Designed with beginners in mind, the workshop also offers valuable techniques and creative approaches for artists of all experience levels. Participants will experiment with mark-making, colour mixing, and layering before applying these techniques to their own landscape composition. By the end of the session, each participant will complete a textured landscape painting to take home and enjoy. All skill levels are welcome. Date: Friday, April 24th, 2026 Timing: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM $20.00 (Non-Member Pricing) $15.00 (Member Pricing)
