Join us at Quest for the very first Monthly Makers workshop, a relaxed and inspiring watercolour class designed for adults 55+. Led by artist and educator Erika Lacroix, this welcoming, step-by-step workshop invites participants to explore classic watercolour techniques alongside fun, unexpected methods that add texture, movement, and a little element of surprise to your work. The first half of the class focuses on learning and practicing techniques in a low-pressure, exploratory way. In the second half, you’ll bring those skills together to create your own finished watercolour painting, guided and supported every step of the way. No previous experience is required. This workshop is perfect for beginners, returning artists, or anyone looking to slow down, experiment, and enjoy a creative morning in good company. In this workshop, participants will explore techniques such as: Wet-in-wet and wet-on-dry Water-to-paint ratios Masking fluid Oil pastel and wax resist Salt and water droplet textures Scraping and lifting Watercolour pencil crayon texture Plastic wrap effects Sponging and splattering Date: Friday, February 28 Timing: 10:00 AM – 12:00PM $15 per participant | All materials provided Come paint, play, and let watercolour surprise you.
